The BNP leaders filed bail petition to the court upon surrender.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari at first said that he would deliver decision after hearing the bail petitions. Later at 2:00pm the court granted them Bail.

In 2018, the case was filed against them for creating obstacle to police duty and conspiracy to sabotage.
