Two teenagers were killed when they came under a Mahanagar Express train at the northern part of Banashua railway bridge in Cumilla on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Swapnil Haque Aditya, 15, son of Monirul Haque Liton of Shashongachha and student of Cumilla Police Line School, and Shatu Ray, 17, daughter of Subol Ray of Dharmapur and student of Cumilla Railway Public School.
Cumilla railway police in-charge sub-inspector Majbawal Haque Mejbah said the accident took place around 12:30pm.
‘We took the bodies and sent them to Cumilla Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination,’ he added. He said further details could not be confirmed immediately.
