Theatre troupe Ethic staged its social satire play Hari Phatibey at Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Wednesday.

Written by Indian playwright Utpal Dutt, Hari Phatibey features anomalies in the society through the eyes of a writer named Kalikingkar.

Kalikingkar stands witness to the injustices done by the powerful and influential in the society like political leaders, rich businessman, human rights activists and others.

Kalikingkar, while working at different offices, came to know of the people who have risen in the society through criminal and unethical activities.

He writes a book to expose the true faces of the perpetrators, whom he invites at the book launch programme.

However, when the perpetrators become aware that the book has been written to expose their true identities they beg for forgiveness and requests Kalikingkar not to launch the book.

Ethic artistes like Imtiaj Asad, Enamul, Sukarna Ahmed, MR Hasan, Mani Kanchan, Srabon and others acted in the play.
