Acclaimed teleplay maker Arun Chowdhuri’s upcoming silver screen venture Mayaboti is scheduled to hit local cinemas on September 13.
The film stars National Film Award winning actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha opposite new comer Yash Rohan for the first time.
Arun Chowdhuri has made about 800 teleplays and Mayaboti is his second silver screen venture.
It revolves around human trafficking. The protagonist character Maya, played by Tisha, was stolen from her mother at an adolescent age.
Maya ends up at Dauladia brothel where she learns music from a teacher. A local barrister’s young son falls for Maya after he hears her singing and the story moves forward.
‘We received the censor certificate from Bangladesh Film Censor Board last month. We are looking forward to releasing the film at around 16 cinemas across the country. I hope film lovers will enjoy it,’ Arun Chowdhuri told New Age.
Mayaboti stars Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Yash Rohan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Raisul Islam Asad, Dilara Zaman, Mamunur Rashid, Wahida Mallik Jolly and others.
The film has been jointly produced by Anwar Azad Films and Anonno Srishti Vision.
