A 16-member Physically Challenged Cricket team of the Bangladesh cricket Board will leave for England today to play in a 5-nation Physical Disability World Series, organised by the English and Wales Cricket Board.
Beside Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and hosts England will battle for the championship from August 5 to August 15 to mobilise support for the cricketers with disabilities who continue to defy odds and physical challenges.
The International Committee of the Red Cross is sponsoring the teams, while the Bangladesh Cricket Board is extending its technical support since the team’s formation.
Drupam Patranabish will lead the Bangladesh team while Masud Hasan will work as the manager and Rashed Iqbal will work as coach.
