A total of 2000 Indian scholarships will be awarded for Bangladesh freedom fighter’s children in 2019-220 session, says a press release of High Commission of India in Dhaka on Monday.
Among the scholarships,1000 each for Higher Secondary and Undergraduate levels. Undergraduate students will get a onetime amount of Tk 50,000 while Higher Secondary students will get Tk 20,000, the release said.
Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, Government of Bangladesh has partnered with High Commission of India to select deserving students covering all districts of Bangladesh.
Advertisement has been placed by the ministry in their official web site (www.molwa.gov.bd) and local newspaper ‘The Daily Janakantha’ and ‘The Bangladesh Pratidin’ on 21 July 2019. Applicants are advised to visit the website and submit their application as per prescribed application format before August 22, 2019 directly to Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
Government of India has sanctioned 10,000 scholarships for Bangladesh freedom fighter’s children over five years and the scheme was started in 2017-2018, the release added.
