BSA to hold film appreciation course

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is going to organise a 12-day film appreciation course starting from July 25.

The classes will be held every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3pm to 7pm at BSA’s International Digital Cultural Archive and National Theatre Hall building’s room 601.

A total number of 24 classes will be conducted by Moinuddin Khaled, Zahidur Rahim Anjan, Pankaj Palit, Ratan Pal, Chaitali Samaddar and Uttam Guho. The course will be co-ordinated by Masud Sumon.

BSA’s Film Appreciation Course aims to teach the participants how to read a film, how to practice writing and how to analyse a film. The course will feature other topics such as Aesthetics of Films, The History of Film, Script and Screenplay, Music and Sound in Films, Lighting and Direction in Films, Professional & Method Acting, Relation of Films with Theatre and Arts, Independent Filmmaking, Documentary Filmmaking and others.

To attend the course one is required to pay a fee of taka 1000. A graduation ceremony will be held on August 31 where certificates will be provided to the participants.
