Photographs portraying scenic beauty of Bangladesh were featured at a three-day group exhibition titled ‘Beautigram Season 2’, which ended at Drik Gallery in Dhanmondi on Thursday.
The event featured 74 contents comprising 50 photographs, 12 videos and 12 blogs.
The theme of this year’s Beautigram was ‘Lost in Bangladesh’. It aimed to promote popular and potential tourist destinations in Bangladesh. The first Beautigram was held in 2018.
Participants from across the country submitted their works to the event from April 17 to June 15 in three categories namely photography, video and blog. There were about 10,000 submissions in total.
A three-member jury comprising photographer Shankar Shaojal, GMB Akash and travel blogger Tareq Onu selected the works for the exhibition, which was held from July 9- 11 at Drik Gallery.
The best works were awarded in the concluding day.
The winners of the video category were awarded a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera, while the second and third runners-up each received a Canon EOS 4000D semi-DSLRs along with an 18-55 III lens.
While the winners of the photography category were awarded with an iPhone X S Max, while the second and third runners-up each received Android phones.
The winners of the blog category were awarded with a 13-inch MacBook Air (Touch ID), while the second and third runners up received Lenovo Laptops.
‘We will organise Beautigram annually. It has received huge response. All the selected works will later be uploaded on the website of Ruchi Explore Limitless,’ said Yasir Arafat.
