Theatre troupe Prangonemor held their annual get-together event titled ‘Bondhu Adda 2019’ at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Tuesday.
Prangonemor organises the event every year. The troupe members performed selected parts from its plays, songs and dances at the programme. Besides, they also discussed about their progress and the future projects.
The show commenced with artistes of the troupe rendering songs, which was followed by a dance performance. Thespian Nuna Afroz, senior member of the troupe, delivered the welcome speech.
‘Every year we organise this get together event where we invite our well-wishers and friends who have stood beside us during our journey. I want to thank all our friends who have helped Prangonemor grow and hope they will stay with us,’ said Nuna Afroz.
Prangonemor artistes staged part of the play Ami O Rabindranath, where playfully the gender roles were reversed. However, the performers later stated that the troupe will be staging the play on Friday at the auditorium of Mahily Samity in Bailey Road. The play Ami O Rabindranath is based on the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore.
Founder of Prangonemor Ananta Hira discussed about what the troupe has achieved up till now and their upcoming projects.
Besides, the event featured a quiz show, music and dance performances. Asha, Badhon and Prakriti rendered songs and Bullet, Rahul, Shujoy, Badhon and Asha presented dance recitals.
