A large tree fell on a moving car of Bangladesh Army and a parked rickshaw in front of Tejgaon College at Farmgate in Dhaka on Friday.

The rickshaw-puller got minor injuries but the passengers of the car escaped unhurt.

Witnesses said the tree uprooted all of a sudden amid normal weather.

Fire service personnel rushed the spot on information and sawn off the tree and removed the car trapped under it.

In a similar accident on March 7, 2016, award-winning filmmaker Khalid Mahmood Mithu died when a large tree fell upon him at Dhanmondi.

Mithu was returning to his Dhanmondi home by a rickshaw from his Elephant Road office when the accident happened.
