Ace Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman made a poor start in the $1,067,000 Kolon 62nd Korea Open Golf Championship when he finished in joint 58th place with a two-over-par 73 after the end of first round in Seoul on Thursday.
The two-time Asian tour winner, Siddik fired five birdies against three bogeys and two double bogeys at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.
Siddik started the day on a good note as he traded two successive birdies in the first two holes and carried his momentum with two other successive birdies in the fourth and fifth holes before a bogey in the sixth hole.
He fired another birdie in the eighth hole to finish the first-nine.
The 34-year old golfer suffered the first double bogey in the 13th
hole before two successive bogeys in the 15th and 16th holes and played two strokes more than pars in the 17th for another double bogey.
Meanwhile, local hotshot Junggon Hwang delivered a flawless display as he signed for a solid six-under-par 65 to grab the opening round lead.
