Road accidents kill 3 in Jhenaidah, Dhaka

At least three people were killed in two separate road accidents in Jhenaidah and Dhaka on Sunday.
New Age correspondent in Islamic University reports that a truck driver and his assistant died on the spot when the vehicle fell into a roadside ditch at Salabhora area under Kaliganj in Jhenaidah around 6:00am.
The deceased were identified as Jony Hossain, 32, son of Manik Ali, resident of Madhabpur in Kushtia and Tawhidul Islam, 26. Tawhid’s details could not be known immediately, police said.
Kaliganj police station officer-in-charge Yunus Ali told New Age that the cement-laden truck fell into a roadside ditch after its front wheel went off.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to Jhenidah General Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
In Dhaka, a motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Wari Post office lane around 1:30am.
The deceased was identified as Jubayer Rahman, 25, son of Muzibur Rahman, a resident of the area. Jubayer used to help his father in business.
Assistant sub-inspector of Wari police station Babu Ram said that the motorcyclist hit a road side pillar as he lost his control over the vehicle, leaving him critically injured.
Police rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
