Swadhin Bangla Football Dal player Abdul Khalek passed away at his village home in Satkhira on Friday midnight.
He was 75. Khalek left behind his wife, five sons, three daughters and hosts of well-wishers to mourn his death.
Khalek was suffering from old age complications and breathed his last at 12:00am on Friday.
He was buried to rest at his family graveyard at Bharukhali after a namaz-e-janaza following Johor prayers on Saturday.
Bangladesh Football Federation on Saturday expressed profound shock on his death and consoled his bereaved family.

India in 1971 to increase public support and raise funds for the War of Independence.
