Around 1,200 bicyclists on the Victory Day 2016 broke the Guinness World Record of forming the world’s longest single line of moving bicycles.

‘The longest single line of moving bicycles consists of 1,186 cyclists, achieved during an event organised by BDCyclists (Bangladesh), in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 16 December 2016. All cyclists remained in a continuous single line for the attempt,’ said a post of guinnessworldrecords.com.

The event was organized by a cyclists’ group named BDCyclists beat beat the present such record held by 984 cyclists of Bosnia.

They paddled their bikes for nine kilometers in a single line on the Purbachal highway in Dhaka.

Starting near Bashundhara, they crossed Boalia Bridge over the Turag River and returned to the starting point in a 30-minute ride.

Arifur Rahman Khan, moderator BDcyclists, said the Guinness Record authorities confirmed them of breaking the record of Bosnia.
