Bangladesh will be looking to finish as group champions when they will take on Kyrgyzstan in their final Group B match of the Bangamata Under-19 Women’s International Gold Cup tournament at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
Both Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan have already qualified for the semi-finals with wins over United Arab Emirates in their respective first matches.
‘We have already reached the semi-finals. Now we are eyeing to finish as group champions,’ said Bangladesh coach Golam Rabbani Choton on Thursday.
‘We have worked hard on our weakness in the last three days. I hope the girls have understood what they would have to do in the ground.’
Bangladesh captain Misrat Jahan Moushumi echoed the coach.
‘We played well against UAE in the last match but could not utilise all the chances. That’s why we worked hard on successful finishing in training for the last couple of days. We hope we will win the match,’ said Moushumi.
Bangladesh started their campaign with a 2-0 win against UAE.
