Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday forecasted that the prevailing mild heat wave would continue at many places across Bangladesh till Friday.
‘Mild heat wave is sweeping over Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Pabna and Sayedpur in last 24 hours commencing at 9:00am today,’ said a bulletin.
Meanwhile, a low has developed over Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay.
‘The heat wave will start decreasing from Saturday.’
‘Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 37.8 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division while the lowest temperature was recorded 22.0 degrees Celsius at l Rangamati in Chattogram.
