Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad filed a general diary with Banani police station Wednesday afternoon expressing fear of losing his assets and party position through signature forgery.
In the diary, the former military dictator and lawmaker sought adequate security so that no one could grab his assets taking the advantage of his illness.
‘A general diary has been filed on behalf of our party chairman with Banani police station expressing fear that his assets and party positions are at risk and bank accounts might be forged,’ Jatiya Party deputy press secretary Delwar Jalali told New Age.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Gulshan Zone deputy commissioner Abdul Ahad said that he came to know that Ershad filed a general diary with Banani police station, but he was unaware of its content.
