Former secretary Kaniz Fatema joined Karmasangsthan Bank as chairman on April 15, said a press release.
She started her professional career in 1983 by joining government service as assistant commissioner and magistrate and later served in different capacities including thana nirbahi officer, additional deputy commissioner, deputy secretary, joint secretary, additional secretary, director general of govt employee welfare board, Statistics and Information Division secretary and director general (secretary) of National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) under planning ministry.
She completed master’s degree in public administration from the University of Dhaka in 1981. She obtained master of arts in environment development & policy from Sussex University, UK in 1995.
She obtained foreign trainings and participated in various seminars, symposiums and workshops in the USA, Japan, South Korea, China, Philippines, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Switzerland, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
