Hollywood horror film, titled ‘The Curse of La Llorona’, will be released today at Star Cineplex in the capital simultaneously with its release in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema.
The film, jointly written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis, has been directed by debutant Michael Chaves.
The Curse of La Llorona, the sixth installment in The Conjuring Universe, is based on the Mexican folklore of La Llorona, the ghost of a woman, who drowned her children and now cries while looking for them in the river.
Set in 1970s Los Angeles, the film stars Linda Cardellini, Roman Christou, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen and others.
