Mashrafee bin Murtaza became the first Bangladeshi player to complete the double of 3,000 runs and 400 wickets in List-A cricket when he picked up 3-40 against Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier League on Wednesday.
Mashrafee reached the milestone of 3,000 List-A runs during Abahani Limited’s match against Legends of Rupganj on April 7 but had to wait for his bowling feat for few more days.
He went wicketless for three successive matches to remain stuck on 399 wickets before his three-wicket burst at the BKSP on Wednesday completed his all-round double.
Mashrafee, who has now 402 wickets to his name, joined left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak to become only the second Bangladeshi to get 400 wickets in List-A cricket.
Razzak also achieved the feat in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League.
