Madhuri Dixit, in the last three decades, has made many hearts beat faster than usual with her performances. The 51-year-old actress is ready to turn a new page in her career, and turn singer. The actress will release the first single of her English pop album by the end of the year, reports India Today.
Madhuri Dixit opened up on her experiment with singing in an interview to a leading daily. The actress exposed that she has already recorded the songs for her album.
‘This is the first time I am exploring singing on a professional level. It has been a while since we were ready with the album. However, due to other commitments, we did not get the time to shoot for the videos,’ said Madhuri Dixit.
‘It is important to have a video to go with the song. We will release the first single this year,’ she added.
However, Madhuri Dixit lent her voice to a song in her 2014 film Gulaab Gang along with her mother Snehlata Dixit and is no stranger to recording studio. While Rangi Sari Gulabi in Gulaab Gang was a classical song, Madhuri is now foraying into singing business with an English pop album.
‘It’s an English album with six songs. Although each song has a different flavour, they all belong in the realm of pop music,’ added Madhuri.
On the work front, Madhuri is awaiting the release of Kalank. The period drama brings back Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt pair on the big screen after 22 years. Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is set to hit the screens on April 17.
