Mohammedan Sporting Club continued their winning streak in the Dhaka Premier League as a late cameo from Sohag Gazi guided them to a two-wicket against Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club in a last ball finish at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Friday.
Gazi struck 70 off 51 balls to take Mohammedan to 251-9 in 50 overs after fifties from Talibur Rahman (72 not out) and Marshall Ayub (68) had propelled Prime Doleshwar to 248-8 in their stipulated overs.
At Fatullah, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan brought up their first win of the competition, beating Uttara Sporting Club by 20 runs while Gazi Group cricketers defeated Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity by three wickets at Savar.

Mohammedan v Prime Doleshwar
Prime Doleshwar lost their first four wickets for 64 runs inside 21 overs after being sent to bat.
A 117-run fifth wicket stand between Marshall and Talibur brought their innings back on track.
Saqlain Sajib broke the partnership in the 44th over by removing Marshall but Talibur hung on to form small partnerships with the late order to take the score close to 250-run mark.
Mohammedan also got off to a poor start and were stuttering on 51-4 in 13.2 overs.
Nadif Chowdhury (30) and Irfan Sukkur (30) showed some resistance but Saad Nasim dismissed both as Mohammedan were reduced to 125-7 in 30.2 overs.
Gazi then made a 77 and 43-run stand with Alauddin Babu (38) and Shafiul Islam (10 not out) respectively to take Mohammedan close to their target.
Mohammedan required just four runs off 11 deliveries when Farhad Reza, who finished with 4-55, trapped Gazi leg-before to add some late drama into the contest.
Shafiul played out three consecutive dot balls in the last over off Arafat Sunny, making the equation two runs from the last ball, before finally hitting a boundary to take Mohammedan to their third win in as many matches.

BKSP v Uttara SC
Opting to bat first, opener Mahmudul Hasan’s 66 and late contributions from Aminul Islam (33) and Parvez Hossain (27 not out) took BKSP to a humble total of 201-8 in 50 overs.
In reply, Raza Ali Dhar (51) and Shakhir Hossain (50) struck fifties for Uttara, but they kept losing wickets in regular succession and in the end were bowled out on 181 in 49 overs.
