Tauquir Ahmed’s language movement film titled ‘Fagun Haway’ will be available on the popular online platform iflix from today.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at the rooftop of Channel-i building on Thursday.
Managing director of Impress Telefilm Limited Faridur Reza Sagar, head of news of Channel-i Sheikh Siraj, consultant of Impress Telefilm Limited Abu Shahed Emon, executive vice president of Robi Mahbubul Alam Bhuiyan, iflix Bangladesh country manager Imrul Karim, director Tauqir Ahmed, actors Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Siam Ahmed, among others, were present at the press conference.
‘This is the first feature film of the country which is solely based on our language movement. We are releasing the film at an online platform so that the younger generation and expatriate Bangladeshi youths can get a glimpse into the tumultuous days of the language movement,’ said Faridur Reza Sagar.
Siam Ahmed and Nusrat Imrose Tisha enacted the roles of language movement activists in the film. Fagun Haway was released on February 8 across the country.
