The 4th Zaber and Zubair Fabric Week attracts huge number of buyers from European Union, North America and Japan.
Up to Tuesday, some 500 garment buyers from Europe and the US, buyers’ representatives from local offices, local garment and buying houses visited the fabric exhibition.
The show, organised by Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Ltd of Noman Group of Industries, was launched on March 2 at its corporate office in Gulshan of Dhaka.
‘Fabrics manufacturer displays its latest collection basically developed for spring and summer 2020 season,’ said Anol Rayhan, senior manager of brand and customer care of Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Limited.
He hoped that the number of visitors would cross 800 by March 7, closing day of the show.
This fabric show is the first of its kind in Bangladesh organised by a single company, he said.
The management of Zaber and Zubair Fabrics decided to organise a self-driven ‘mill week’ to enhance its global brand image, Anol said.
Mill week is a concept for showcasing fabric or garment products to buyers, who also organise mill weeks to purchase seasonal products from different suppliers, organisers said.
According to the organisers, 49-year-old Noman Group currently has 36 factories employing some 72,000 people.
