Discussion on Tagore-Nazrul held at IU

A discussion on Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore and national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was held at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium of Islamic University in Kushtia on Tuesday.
The university organised the discussion programme as part of a three-day book fair which
was inaugurated on the same day.
IU vice-chancellor professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari was present as the chief guest while short story writer and novelist professor Hasan Azizul Huq was present as the chief discussant at the programme chaired by IU pro-vice-chancellor professor M Shahinoor Rahman.
The programme attracted a large audience.
IU treasurer professor M Selim Toha and IU Bangabandhu chair professor Shamsuzzaman Khan, also the former director general of Bangla Academy, attended the programme as special guests.
Besides, law and land management department lecturer Shahida Akter Asha, English department professor Miah M Rashiduzzaman and chairman of tourism and hospitality management department M Mahbubul Arefin spoke at the event.
