IU hosts discussion on Liberation War

A discussion titled ‘Liberation War, Language Movement and Bangabandhu’ was held at Islamic University in Kushtia on Wednesday.

IU organised the discussion on the occasion of its three-day book fair at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium around 12:00pm.

IU vice-chancellor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the programme as chief guest while IU Bangabandhu chair professor Shamsuzzaman Khan was present as keynote speaker with the university’s pro-VC M Shahinoor Rahman in the chair.

IU treasurer professor M Selim Toha and Naser Shahriar Jahedi spoke as special guests.

IU political science department lecturer Sherina Bithi conducted the programme attended by two thousand teachers and students of different departments including IU syndicate member Professor M Mahbubar Rahman took part on the discussion programme.
