Dhaka Bank Limited chairman Reshadur Rahman has become honorary consul general of Republic of Poland in Dhaka.
The honorary consulate of Republic of Poland in Bangladesh has recently been upgraded to that of honorary consulate general with consequent upgradation of the post to honorary consul general, said a press release.
Foreign ministry’s chief of protocol AKM Shahidul Karim handed over official exequatur letter issued by the government of Bangladesh to Reshadur Rahman on Thursday.
Among others Md Nazrul Islam, deputy chief of protocol, was also present on the occasion.
The honorary consulate of Poland was established by the Polish government in Dhaka in August 2008 with Reshadur Rahman, an entrepreneur, as honorary consul, according to the release.
He was associated with a great deal of progressive alliance with several companies, said the release.
