Today’s career education test of the ongoing Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations has been deferred while faulty question script was distributed among examinees in information and communication technology test in Jashore on Tuesday.
Following the incident, Jashore Education Board authorities on Tuesday cancelled the ICT examination at all 276 examination centres where 1.53 lakh examinees sat for the examination.
The board chairman, Professor Mohammad Abdul Alim, said that the authorities cancelled the exam about 10 minutes after it started because of misprint in the question script, reports New Age correspondent in Jashore.
In the MCQ question script of 25 marks, there were 12 questions on ICT on the first page while there were 13 questions on career studies, the chairman said.
Jashore board controller of examination Madhob Chandra Rudra said that examination of the career studies for irregular students was scheduled to be held today.
‘The career education examination will be held at 2:00pm on March 2 all over the country,’ he said.
The ICT examination for Jashore board would take place on February 28, the board officials confirmed.
