Suspected drug peddler found dead in Rajshahi

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a suspected drug peddler at Deegram Adibasi area at Godagari in Rajshahi on Tuesday morning.
The deceased is Motiur Rahman Moti, a man in his forites, of Madarpur Railway Market area in Godagari municipality.
With the latest deceased, the number of deaths has raised to 212 in the ongoing nationwide anti-drug drives since May 15, 2018.
Godagari police statoin officer-in-charge Jahangir Alam told New Age that locals found the body of Motiur by a road and called police.
Later, a team of police went to the spot and sent the body Rajshahi Medical Collage Hospital for autopsy.
Jahangir Alam said that the body had marks of bullet injuries in the head and chest.
He claimed that the deceased was an identified drug peddler and he had several cases filed against him.
