The JP made him opposition leader after securing 22 seats through controversial general elections held on December 30.
He entered into the House at about 5:00pm.
While heading for the House by a wheel chair, he told reporters, ‘I am alive’.
He entered into the House with Jatiya Party co-chairman GM Quader and JP secretary general Mashiur Rahman Ranga. Entering the House, he waved all the lawmakers.
Though the 11th parliament started its journey on December 30, Ershad remained absent on health ground. It can be mentioned that Ershad became ill before the 11th parliamentary elections and went to Singapore for treatment.
