Jatiya Party chairman and former military dictator Hussein Muhammad Ershad on Sunday joined the parliament session after being elected from Rangur-3 constituency.
The JP made him opposition leader after securing 22 seats through controversial general elections held on December 30.
He entered into the House at about 5:00pm.
While heading for the House by a wheel chair, he told reporters, ‘I am alive’.
He entered into the House with Jatiya Party co-chairman GM Quader and JP secretary general Mashiur Rahman Ranga. Entering the House, he waved all the lawmakers.
