Shironamhin’s sixth album in pipeline

Popular band Shironamhin is working on its next album which is yet to get a release date.

The album is part of a yearlong initiative announced by the band while celebrating its 20th founding anniversary last year.

The anniversary fell in April 2016, when the band announced the multi-front initiative that also included release of a song every month henceforth.

‘Right now we are working on an album that we hope to release sometime soon. It’s going to be our sixth album,’ said lead vocalist Tuhin, refusing to disclose further details.

He also talked about the band’s upcoming concerts, which were also part of the yearlong celebration plan. He said the band has plans to perform in concerts in different areas in 2017.

The present line up of the band is Tanzir Tuhin on vocals, Ziaur Rahman on bass, Diyat Khan on guitar, Kazi Ahmad Shafin on drums and Rashel Kabir on keyboard.

Shironamhin, formed in 1996, has so far produced a number of hit songs including Duti Pakhi, Bondho Janala, and Icche Ghuri.

Among its albums are Jahaji, Ichchhe Ghuri, Bondho Janala, Shironamhin Rabindranath, and Swaname Shironamhin.
