Bangladesh’s Mahadi Hasan Alve moved into the final in the boys’ singles event of the ITF Asian Under-14 Development Tennis Championship, Division 2 second tournament, when he beat Nepal’s Aryan Giri by 7-6, 6-1 sets at in Bangkok on Thursday.
Another Bangladesh player Roman Hossain paired with Hamid Israr Gul of Pakistan failed to reach the final of the boys’ doubles event when they lost to Amirili Ghavam [Iran] and Zaid Mashni [Jordan] pair by 6-1, 4-6, 11-9 sets.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ doubles semi-final, Mashfia Afrin and Erkhbilguun Byarbaya [Mongolia] pair lost to Mongolian pair Maralgoo Chogsomjav and Mataa Chogsomjav by 2-6, 2-6 sets.
