Dhaka Dynamites young off-spinner Aliss Islam was reported by the umpires for suspect bowling action after his match-winning performance against Rangpur Riders in his BPL debut, said an official on Sunday.
‘He has been reported by the umpires,’ Bangladesh Premier League technical committee chairman Jalal Yunus told New Age.
‘We are waiting for the match referee report as he [Debabrata Paul] will give a guideline for him before we decide about his immediate future,’ he added.
Little-known Allis claimed 4-26, including a hat-trick, helping Dhaka beat Rangpur by two runs in a close contest on Friday. Rangpur questioned about his bowling action immediately after the game.
Aliss was also in the list of suspect bowlers during his stint with Dhaka First Division League outfit Old DOHS last year.
Aliss was named in the Dhaka’s starting XI on their Saturday’s match against Sylhet Sixers despite his reported action.
