Bangladesh stalwarts Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah were short-listed for the player’s auction for the 12th edition of the India Premier League on Wednesday.
The player’s auction will be held in Jaipur on December 18, 2018.
Mushfiq has been listed in the wicketkeeper category, while Mahmudullah was placed in the all-rounder section with both of them having a base price of 50 lakh Rupees.
Bangladesh Cricket Board had sent a list of nine players for the auction out of which Tamim Iqbal, Nayeem Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Imrul Kayes, Abu Hider and Liton Das missed the cut.
The two players now have a chance of joining their national team-mate Sakib al Hasan in the competition as the all-rounder has already been retained for this year’s tournament by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise
Mustafizur Rahman, who had played in the 11th edition for the Mumbai Indians franchise, was let-go by his team before deciding not to take part in this year’s tournament.
A total of 1003 players from around the world had registered for the auction, of which only 346 would go under the hammer.
The final list was published according to the player-list sent from the participating eight teams.
