A gazette notification regarding redistribution of cabinet portfolios is issued on Tuesday.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday redistributed portfolios of four technocrat ministers, who had submitted resignation on November 6 among the cabinet members.

The prime minister herself has taken up additional duties of two ministries — science and technology ministry and post, telecommunications and ICT ministry.

The responsibility of expatriate welfare and overseas employment ministry is given to LGRD minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and the responsibility of religious affairs ministry is given to liberation war affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque.

A gazette notification signed by cabinet secretary M ShafiulAlam was issued on the day.

Despite submitting resignation, expatriates welfare and overseas employment minister Nurul Islam, religious affairs minister Matiur Rahman, science and technology minister Yafesh Osman and posts, telecommunications and ICT minister Mustafa Jabbar were continuing with their regular duties including attending cabinet meetings. The resignations took effect on December 10.
