Today is the 96th death anniversary of legendary folk bard Hason Raja.
Marking the day, theatre troupe Prangonemor is going to stage three shows of Hasonjaner Raja, a play featuring life and works of Hason Raja, in Sylhet and Sunamganj.
Prangonemor will stage the play at Sylhet Station Club Auditorium today. The troupe will stage another show at Nazrul Auditorium, Sylhet tomorrow and a third show on December 9 at Hason Raja Auditorium in Sunamganj.
‘Since the premiere of the play, theatre lovers from the Sylhet region have been requesting us to stage the play there. Similarly, we also had plans to stage the play in Hason Raja’s birthplace. Finally, we are going to stage three shows in Sylhet and Sunamganj,’ said Ananta Hira, director of the play.
