Bangladesh face UAE in Emerging Cup today

Bangladesh U-23 team will open the campaign against UAE in their first Group B match of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup at Karachi, Pakistan today.
The tournament will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka from December 6 to 15, with Bangladesh playing all their group matches in Pakistan’s Karachi.
Bangladesh are placed in Group B alongside hosts Pakistan, Hong Kong and UAE while Group A comprises Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, India and Oman.
Bangladesh will face Hong Kong and hosts Pakistan respectively on December 7 and 9.
The two semi-finals and final will be held respectively on December 13 and 15 in Colombo.
In the other match of the day, Pakistan will take on Hong Kong at the other venue in Karachi.
Bangladesh were knocked out from the semi-final stage of the previous edition in 2017 at home against Sri Lanka, who went on to win the tournament by beating Pakistan in the final.
Squad: Nurul Hasan (Capt), Mosaddek Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Mizanur Rahman, Shafiul Islam, Zakir Hasan, Saif Hasan, Yasir Ali, Tanvir Islam, Afif Hossain, Nayeem Hasan, Shoriful Islam, Qazi Onik, Khaled Ahmed and Mohor Sheikh.
