The High Court will give decision tomorrow on the writ petition of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking directive to the government to get her readmitted to hospital to complete her treatment.
On Tuesday, a bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil set the schedule after hearing the writ petition.
During the hearing, the court said that the medical board constituted earlier following HC directive to provide her treatment might visit her at the Old Dhaka Central Jail to examine her current health condition.
Khaleda Zia’s lawyer AJ Mohammad Ali submitted that, on November 8, Khaleda was hurriedly sent back to the jail with malafide intentions withdrawing her from the hospital before her treatment could be completed.
They also submitted that she was withdrawn from the hospital without the medical board’s approval.
The government might allow her treatment at the outpatient department and opposes her readmission to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib University, submitted additional attorney general Murad Reza.
