HC puts off hearing Khaleda’s writ petition seeking readmission to hospital

The High Court Division on Monday pout off until today hearing writ petition of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking directive to the government to send her back to hospital to complete her treatment.
On Thursday the government withdrew her from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and sent her back to the jail.
A bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al Jalil put off hearing the writ petition as on behalf of the attorney general
time was sought for his appearance to place arguments.
Her lawyers submitted in the petition said that, on Thursday, Khaleda was hurriedly sent back to the jail withdrawing her from the hospital before her treatment could be completed.
They also submitted that she was withdrawn from the hospital without the approval of medical board which was providing her treatment.
