The Election Commission on Sunday sent a letter to the cabinet secretary asking him not to transfer any public servant without permission of the commission.
The commission’s election management department issued the letter asking the cabinet secretary to go by the order until 15 days after the publishing of the official election results in gazette notification, said commission additional secretary Mokhlesur Rahman.
He also said that the commission in another order asked the authorities concerned and political parties as well as political activists to remove campaigning materials by November 15.
The commission would take legal action against the people who would violate the Electoral Code of Conduct, he warned.
Commission officials said that the commission summoned all 64 returning officers to its headquarters, Nirbachan Bhaban, on Tuesday to brief about the election and for necessary training.
They said that the commission on Sunday started selling nomination papers online for the first time.
