Leading recitation artistes presented poems penned by renowned poets at a programme held on Thursday at Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Titled, ‘Lal Sobujer Khame’, the programme was organised by Sathkhira based recitation troupe Protiddhoni marking its 20th founding anniversary.
Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present as the chief guest at the programme.
Artistes recited poems penned by poets like Syed Shamsul Haq, Humayun Azad, Zahid Mustafa, Anik Sarker and others at the show.
Artistes of the troupe commenced the programme presenting a colourful dance recital synchronised with the Tagore song Aji bangladesher hridoy.
Following which, artistes recited poems depicting human relations, revolution, patriotism and others.
Shimul Mustapha recited Aboni Bari Acho and Ami Tomakei Bole Debo penned by Sanjeeb Choudhury.
Belayet Hossain recited Holy Artisan penned by Jahid Mustafa.
Shadat Hossain recited Bharat Bangladesh penned by Indian poet Anik Sarker.
Ahkam Ullah recited Subheccha penned by Humayun Azad.
Asaduzzaman Noor recited Amar Porichoy penned by Syed Shamsul Haq.
Besides, Protiddhoni artiste’s recited poems at the show. Syed Ektadur recited Bharat Ek Khoj penned by Joydev Basu.
Shamima Akther recited Bedonar Padabali penned by Mostafa Mir.
Nurul Islam recited a self-penned poem Kofiner Bhitore Alo.
Protiddhoni artistes also staged a recitation production, titled ‘Laal Sobujer Khame’ at the show.
Bangladesh Abritti Samannay Parishad president Ahkam Ullah was present as special guest at the programme presided over by Protiddhoni president Barrister Tanvir.
