Artistes render folk songs

Artistes of Swadhinota Sangsad entertained the audience rendering folk songs at a programme held on Wednesday at Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum.
Artistes presented popular folk songs penned by Hason Raja, Baul Shah Abdul Karim and others at the show, titled ‘Jatiya Unnayan Shikhkhya’, which was organised by Swadhinota Sangsad.
Rima Akther rendered Amar ghum bhangaia and Phaitta jay bukta phaitta jay.
Kopil Ahmed sang Mon bhromora mon dila tai.
Babul Khan rendered Hasan Raja’s popular song Loke bole bole re.
Nishi Akther rendered Je jala antare dekhaibo kemone and Bhule bhora biswa aaj.
Baul Noyon sang Shah Abdul Karim’s popular songs Gari cholena cholena cholena and Agey ki shundor din kataitam.
Former chief justice Md Tafazzul Islam was present as the chief guest at the programme where South East University vice chancellor professor Dr ANM Meshquat Uddin attended as a discussant.
Swadhinota Sangsad chief advisor Md Abul Bashar Hawlader presided over the programme.
