A 70-year-old man died at Shaheed Zia Medical College and Hospital in Bogura on Friday morning after being injured allegedly by his son following family feud at Tarash in Sirajganj on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Osman Ali Pramanik, 70, resident of Tarash upazila in Sirajganj.
Tarash police officer-in-charge Mustafizur Rahman, quoting the family said that Osman Faruk Hossain, an intern-lawyer, hit him with a bamboo stick on Thursday night following a family feud, leaving him critically injured.
The OC said that the victim’s wife, Sokhina Khatun, filed a case with the Tarssh police in this connection accusing Faruk.
The accused killer was absconding, he added.
