NRM Borhan Uddin has been elected as chairman and Dewan Nurul Islam as vice-chairman of Padma Islami Life Insurance for the next term at the company’s 156th board of directors’ meeting held on Sunday, said a press release.
Borhan is a former vice-chancellor of City University. He obtained his PhD from Stevens Technology, New Jersey, and received his MBA and MS from University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and BSU, Indiana, USA, respectively.
Nurul is the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He served as a director of the board of Jamuna Oil Company Limited and state owned Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL), where he was chairman of audit company and the chairman of the board.
He obtained his MBA in finance from the University of Technology Sydney (UDS), Australia.
