Three killed in city road accidents

At least three people were killed in road accidents at Khilkhet, Hazribagh and Mohammadpur in Dhaka on Saturday.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Bacchu Miah said that Abdus Salam, 70, succumbed to the injury, he sustained in a road accident on Airport Road in front of Radission in the morning, at the hospital at died in the hospital at about 10:00am.
An unnamed woman, 45, was killed as a private car hit her while walking on the road in front of Shikder Medical College Hospital at Hazaribagh, he said quoting witnesses.
Bacchu however could not say how the accidents took places or any more information about the accidents.
Officer-in-charge of Mohammad police station Jamal Uddin said that a speedy bus ran over Ruma Akter Sathi, 26, wife of Liton Sarker, a resident of Sunamganj, while she was crossing the Mirpur Road in College Gate area at about 4:00pm.
