Different TV channels chalked out special programmes to celebrate Durga Puja festival of the Hindu community including teleplays, music shows, dance shows and others.
A few channels chalked out three-day special programmes, while several others chalked out two or single day programmes.
As part of the celebration programmes, ATN Bangla will air special teleplays Rabon-er Minoti and Debi respectively at 08:00pm and 09:00pm tonight.
Rabon-er Minoti, directed by AD Dulal, stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Farzana Rikta and others, and Devi, jointly directed by Bishwajit Dutt and Preeti Dutt, stars Mehzabien, Manosh Bandyopadhyay and others
Besides, Baishakhi TV will telecast a music show, titled ‘Anjali Loho Mor Sangeetey’, at 11:00pm tonight. The programme will feature performances by singers Sondipon and Debolina Sur. Sondipon will present songs like Amay ektu jaiga dao mago, Ami biswas kori sangeetey, Amar pujar phool and others, while Debolina Sur will render songs like Bonomali go tumi, Mago tumai daki sara bochor dhore, Aj maje mon oi agomoni baaj and others.
Earlier different TV channels aired different programmes celebrating Durga Puja.
ATN Bangla aired dance show Dhaker Taale, directed by Nahid Rahman, and teleplay Durga Durgati Nashini on October 17. The channel also aired a teleplay Doshbhuja on October 18.
NTV aired talk show Pujar Adda: Anondomoyer Agomone, hosted by Sushama Sarker and directed by Mrinal Dutt, on October 18. Recitation artiste Bhashwar Bandyopadhyay, actress Moutushi Biswas, filmmaker Debashish Biswas and singer Haimanti Rakshit participated in the programme.
Massranga TV aired a play Kohe Birangana by Monipur Theatre live on October 17.
Besides, the channel organised a two-day concert at Banani field on October 17 and October 18 where leading singers like Fahmida Nabi, Rafiqul Islam, Aditi Mohsin, Shah Alam Sarkar, Fakir Shahbuddin, Priyanka Gope, Champa Banik, Chandana Mazumdar and others entertained the audience presenting diverse Bangla songs.
The programme also featured recitation by Jayanta Chattopadhaya and Dalia Ahmed and dance recital by Rachel Pryinka Paris and her troupe.
Duronto Television, country’s dedicated TV channel for children, aired a special programme, titled ‘Aloy Bhubon Bhora’, directed by Monirul Hossain Shipon and anchored by Jayanta Chattopadhyay on October 17.
Baishakhi TV aired four teleplays on the occasion of Durga Puja. Teleplays Bou Pagla Bullet and Sesh Ichchhey were aired on October 17 and teleplays Made in Foreign 3 and Home Minister were were aired on October 18.
