3-day art exhibition held at RU

Teachers and students of Rajshahi University fine arts faculty displayed paintings and sculptures portraying founding president of the country Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at a three-day art exhibition held on RU premises.
Jatiya Shok Dibos Udjapon Parishad unit of the university organised the exhibition titled, ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’, at the university’s Shaheed Sukhoranjan Samaddar Teacher Student Cultural Centre.
RU vice chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the show that featured around one hundred paintings and sculptures on Monday.
Rajshahi City Corporation mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton was present as chief the guest at the inaugural programme.
Among others, RU pro vice-chancellors professor Ananda Kumar Saha and professor Choudhury M Zakaria, former student adviser professor Golam Sabbir Tapu and dean of arts faculty professor Siddhartha Shankar Talukdar spoke at the event.
The exhibition ended on Wednesday.
