Three held at JU for being involved in leaking questions

At least three people, including two students of Jagannath University, were held on Jahangirnagar University campus at Savar on Monday, for their alleged involvement in ‘leaking questions’ of JU C unit admission tests.
The accused were identified as — Sakibul Ul Sadat, first year physics student, and Ashik-E-Atahar Mezbah, final year political science student of JnU, and Anwar Hossain, driver of the vehicle bearing the number — Dhaka Metro Ga-311449, which was being used by the accused students.
University officials said that the accused tried to sell ‘C unit admission test question paper’ to an admission seeker for Tk 5 lakhs
The aspirant discussed the issue with Mabubur Rahman Neel, a masters’ student of philosophy department of the university, and also vice-president Bangladesh Chhatra League JU unit.
Being informed, Neel and his fellows held the duo from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman hall on the campus and handed them over to officials of the university’s proctor office.
Later, JU security officials took the duo to their office for interrogation and at one stage of the interrogation the duo confessed that they were involved in leaking questions.
They also disclosed the name of one Jakir Hossain who was the leader of their gang and sent them to Jahangirnagar University for finding clients.
The university proctor, Shikder Md Zulkernine, said ‘We have found that a gang is trying to leak question papers of the ongoing admission tests. We have seized some question papers from them; but those don’t match with our question papers.’
‘We will hand them over to a mobile court after further interrogation. They will take the final decision in this connection,’ he added.
