Sanaul’s photo exhibition on Rohingyas in New York

Fifty photographs on the exodus of Rohingya people from Rakhine state of Myanmar to Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh fleeing from the persecution of Myanmar military and their everyday life in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar drew the attention of commoners in New York City on Sunday.

A daylong solo exhibition Bangladeshi photographer Sanaul Haque was held on at Diversity Plaza at Jackson Heights of New York.

New York state assembly member Catlina Cruz inaugurated the exhibition titled ‘Save the Rohingya People’. Voice of America journalist Akbar Haider Kiran, journalist M Emran Ansari, Bangladeshi expatriate freedom fighter Abu Jafar Mahmud and Nehar Siddiqui were also present at the simple inaugural programme.
