Sarachitra promotes young artistes

Ten young artistes recited poems with diverse themes at Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Thursday.

Recitation troupe Sarachitra organised the show titled ‘Oikkotan’ where two artistes from each of the five groups-- Kalparup, Harbola, Abrittimela, Trilok and Sarachitra- performed.

Mahabub Rahman recited poems like Nil Bhomorar Gaan by Masud Al Karim, Tomar Sange Hothath Dekha by Arif Moinuddin and Sesh Ichchha by Nabarun Bhattacharya.
Mahera Binte Rafiq recited Ke Jeno Bolche by Shahid Quadri, Amra Droupadi Natun Shatabdir by Pradip Bala and Brristi Chinhito Bhalobasha by Abul Hasan.

Moniruzzaman Ratul recited Chiranatun and Karader Projanat by Shubha Dasgupta and 7 March by Nasir Ahmed.

Zahid Islam recited poems like Sahaj by Jibanananoda Das, Tumi by Shubha Dasgupta and Chiramona by Rabindranath Tagore.

Liza Chowdhury recited Dui Pakhi by Rabindranath Tagore, Sahaj by Jibanananda Das and Tumi O Kabita by Mahadev Saha.

Mim Jahan Tonni recited Chhobi by Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, Meghla Dine by Rabindranath Tagore and Mouir Ponkhi by Subodh Sarkar.

Anisur Rahman recited poems Hans by Joy Goswami, Ponero August and Akbar Hossain-er Janya Gaan by Syed Samsul Haq.

A good number of viewers enjoyed the show. ‘The young artistes were really impressive’, an audience member said.
